पठन बोध (प्रवेश परीक्षाएँ)

विधि

  1. पहले प्रश्न पढ़ें ताकि आपको पता रहे कि आप क्या खोज रहे हैं।
  2. गद्यांश को उसके विषय और मुख्य बात के लिए सरसरी तौर पर पढ़ें; पहला या आखिरी वाक्य अक्सर उसे बताता है।
  3. उन सटीक पंक्तियों पर लौटें जो प्रश्न का उत्तर देती हैं।
  4. अनुमानों के लिए वह विकल्प चुनें जिसे संकेत सबसे मज़बूती से समर्थित करते हैं, वह नहीं जो उनसे आगे जाता है।
  5. लेबल और तालिकाओं के लिए हर लागू नियम अपनाएँ और छोटी गणना सावधानी से करें।

अंग्रेज़ी व्याकरण और भाषा प्रयोग (प्रवेश परीक्षाएँ)

विधि

  1. रूप चुनने से पहले वाक्य का कर्ता और क्रिया खोजें।
  2. सहमति और सर्वनाम रूप जाँचने के लिए वाक्यांश (of the …, along with …) और अतिरिक्त लोग (you and …) हटा दें।
  3. हर उपवाक्य जाँचें: क्या वह अकेले खड़ा हो सकता है? स्वतंत्र उपवाक्यों को अल्पविराम + संयोजक या अर्धविराम से जोड़ें।
  4. संशोधक और सूचियाँ जाँचें: वर्णन करने वाला वाक्यांश अपने शब्द के पास, सूची के पद एक ही रूप में।
  5. शब्द चयन और शैली के लिए सटीक, औपचारिक और संक्षिप्त विकल्प चुनें।

विधि

  1. पूरा वाक्य पढ़ें और संदर्भ-संकेत खोजें: परिभाषा, विरोध, उदाहरण या कारण और प्रभाव।
  2. अपरिचित शब्द को उपसर्ग, मूल और प्रत्यय में बाँटें और हर भाग का अनुवाद करें।
  3. चिकित्सा शब्द को प्रत्यय से शुरू की ओर पढ़ें (hepat-itis: यकृत की सूजन)।
  4. हर विकल्प को वाक्य में रखें और जाँचें कि अर्थ अब भी बैठता है।
  5. वह अर्थ चुनें जो इस वाक्य में प्रयुक्त है, भले ही शब्द का कोई और रोज़मर्रा का अर्थ हो।
