1Formule e metodi
2Esercizi
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteMedia
A parent will give a liquid antibiotic to a child at home. Which teaching is best?
AEstimate the dose by pouring into a cup
BUse the oral syringe or dosing cup that comes with the medicine
CUse a tablespoon for doses over 5 mL
DUse any teaspoon or tablespoon from the kitchen drawer at home
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile
Patients contaminated with radioactive dust arrive at the hospital. Which step removes most of the external contamination?
AGiving the patient potassium iodide
BScrubbing the skin until it is red
CWrapping the patient in a blanket
DRemoving the patient’s clothing
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia
A patient refuses their regular evening tablets. What should the nurse do first?
AExplore the reason for refusing
BInsist until the patient takes them
CThrow the tablets away without telling anyone
DHide the tablets in their food
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile
A woman leaks small amounts of urine when she coughs, sneezes or laughs. Which type of incontinence is this?
AFunctional incontinence
BStress incontinence
COverflow incontinence
DUrge incontinence
5.MicrobiologiaMedia
ANeisseria gonorrhoeae
BBordetella pertussis
CStreptococcus pneumoniae
DClostridium perfringens
3Soluzioni
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: B · Use the oral syringe or dosing cup that comes with the medicine
Perché è questa la risposta
Household spoons vary widely in size and cause dosing errors. A marked oral syringe or dosing device in mL gives an accurate dose.
Risposta
B · Use the oral syringe or dosing cup that comes with the medicine
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: D · Removing the patient’s clothing
Perché è questa la risposta
Removing clothing, then gently washing the skin, gets rid of most external radioactive contamination. Hard scrubbing damages the skin, and potassium iodide only protects the thyroid from radioactive iodine.
Risposta
D · Removing the patient’s clothing
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: A · Explore the reason for refusing
Perché è questa la risposta
Patients with capacity may refuse medicines. The nurse explores why, for example side effects or misunderstanding, gives information, documents the refusal and informs the prescriber if needed.
Risposta
A · Explore the reason for refusing
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: B · Stress incontinence
Perché è questa la risposta
Stress incontinence occurs when raised abdominal pressure overcomes weak pelvic floor support. Pelvic floor exercises are a first-line treatment. Urge incontinence is a sudden strong need to void.
Risposta
B · Stress incontinence
5.Microbiologia
Risposta: C · Helicobacter pylori
Servono chirurgia e antibiotici urgenti.
