1Formule e metodi
2Esercizi
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteMedia
A family member will visit a patient on contact precautions. What should the nurse do?
ATell them precautions only apply to staff
BAsk them to wear an N95 respirator only, with no gown or gloves
CShow them how to use the gown and gloves and how to clean their hands
DTell them visits are not allowed at all
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile
A patient in a vest restraint has slid down in bed, and the vest is pressing against the neck. What should the nurse do first?
ATighten the vest so the patient cannot slide down again
BCall the provider to ask about a different restraint
CWrite a note about the event in the chart
DRelease the restraint at once and reposition the patient
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia
How should a nurse speak to a patient with hearing loss?
ACover the mouth to stop background noise
BSpeak very fast to keep the message short
CShout loudly from behind the patient so they can hear every word
DFace the patient and speak clearly at a normal pace
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile
Why can a patient with a high fever be in negative fluid balance even when measured intake equals measured output?
AFever has no effect on the body's water balance
BFever increases unmeasured fluid loss through sweating and breathing
CFever makes the kidneys produce extra urine that cannot be measured
DFever causes the body to make extra water from fat
5.MicrobiologiaMedia
3Soluzioni
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: C · Show them how to use the gown and gloves and how to clean their hands
Perché è questa la risposta
Visitors are taught how to put on and remove PPE as required by the policy and how to perform hand hygiene, so they protect themselves and other patients.
Risposta
C · Show them how to use the gown and gloves and how to clean their hands
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: D · Release the restraint at once and reposition the patient
Perché è questa la risposta
Patients have died from strangulation when vest restraints moved up to the neck. The nurse frees the patient immediately, checks breathing and repositions them, then reassesses whether the restraint is needed at all.
Risposta
D · Release the restraint at once and reposition the patient
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: D · Face the patient and speak clearly at a normal pace
Perché è questa la risposta
Facing the patient in good light, reducing background noise and speaking clearly, without shouting, helps understanding. Hearing aids should be in and working.
Risposta
D · Face the patient and speak clearly at a normal pace
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: B · Fever increases unmeasured fluid loss through sweating and breathing
Perché è questa la risposta
Insensible losses through the skin and lungs are not measured and rise with fever and fast breathing. A balanced chart can therefore hide a real fluid deficit.
Risposta
B · Fever increases unmeasured fluid loss through sweating and breathing
5.Microbiologia
Risposta: B · Infezione opportunistica
Risposta
