Choose the meaning of the word in bold: “Store the medication in an opaque container.”
Choose the word that best completes the sentence: “The new law will ___ the use of tobacco in all public buildings.”
答え: B · To explain how handwashing with soap removes germs
The passage gives facts about how soap works, so its purpose is to inform. It names no brand and tells no story.
答え: B · 6
22 ÷ 4 = 5.5. Five nurses would cover only 20 patients, so at least 6 nurses are needed.
答え: D · Three doctors joined the team.
An apostrophe shows possession or a contraction, not a plural. “Doctors” is the plain plural of “doctor”.
答え: A · Whoever arrives first should unlock the door.
“Whoever” is the subject of the clause “whoever arrives first”. “Whomever” is the object form.
答え: B · Not letting light through
Opaque means not transparent; light-sensitive drugs are stored in opaque containers.
答え: C · prohibit
To prohibit is to forbid by law or rule. Promote and permit mean the opposite.
