People who visit a fitness website probably exercise more than average, so the sample is biased and cannot represent all adults.
比例式では 2 つの比が等しく、a/b = c/d で、たすき掛け a·d = b·c で解きます。
答え: B · A 帯
C · It is released unchanged and can be used again
Enzymes are catalysts. The product leaves the active site, and the enzyme is free to bind another substrate molecule, so a small amount of enzyme can act on many molecules.
B · New evidence could always contradict it in the future
Evidence can support a hypothesis or show it to be false, but there is always the chance of a future result that does not fit. For this reason, scientific conclusions remain open to revision.
A + BC → AC + B
Beta decay changes a neutron into a proton, so the atomic number goes from 6 to 7 (nitrogen) while the mass number stays 14. ¹⁴C → ¹⁴N + β⁻.
答え: C · me
Pronouns after a preposition take the object form: between you and me. “Between you and I” is a common error.
C · The new director hopes to effect real change.
“To effect change” means to bring change about. In B, C and D the meaning is “to influence”, which requires “affect”.
A · A vague feeling of being unwell
Malaise is a general feeling of discomfort or illness without a specific cause.
D · Grow steadily worse
