On Friday the clinic closes at 5 p.m., and walk-ins are seen until one hour before closing, so 4 p.m. 7 p.m. applies Monday to Thursday.
S2(「クン」)は半月弁の閉鎖です。
答え: C · 頻脈、冷たく青白い皮膚、尿量の減少
圧受容器を介した交感神経の活性化は心拍数を上げ、皮膚の血管を収縮させます。腎灌流の低下、ADH、アルドステロンが尿量を減らします。
答え: C · Exocytosis
In exocytosis, vesicles fuse with the cell membrane and release their contents outside the cell. Endocytosis and phagocytosis take material in, and osmosis is the movement of water.
答え: A · 2²³, about 8 million
Each of the 23 homologous pairs can orient in two ways at metaphase I, giving 2 × 2 × ... = 2²³ ≈ 8.4 million combinations. Crossing over adds even more variation.
答え: D · Na₂SO₄
Two Na⁺ ions (2+) balance one SO₄²⁻ (2−), giving Na₂SO₄. The sulfate group stays intact as SO₄.
答え: C · Inside the body, alpha particles deposit all their energy in nearby living cells
Alpha particles are highly ionising but have a short range. Outside the body the dead outer skin stops them, but inside they release all their energy into living tissue nearby, causing heavy damage.
答え: D · had already started
The past perfect (had started) shows an action completed before another past action (we arrived).
答え: C · The nurse washed her hands and put on gloves.
In A one subject (the nurse) has two verbs (washed, put), so it is one independent clause with a compound predicate. B and C are compound and D is complex.
答え: A · Beginning
Onset is the beginning of a symptom or disease.
答え: C · Widespread
Ubiquitous means found everywhere, so widespread is the closest meaning.
