Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid

Methode

2Oefenopgaven

1.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheidGemiddeld

Which technique is used for suctioning a tracheostomy in hospital?

  1. AClean technique, with the catheter rinsed in tap water
  2. BClean technique, reusing the catheter during the shift
  3. CNo gloves at all, because the airway already contains bacteria
  4. DSterile technique, with a sterile catheter and sterile glove
2.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheidMoeilijk

A nurse often skips barcode scanning to save time, as many colleagues do. In a just culture, how is this behavior classed?

  1. AAcceptable behavior, because it is common on the unit
  2. BSimple human error, managed only by consoling the nurse and moving on
  3. CReckless behavior, managed by immediate dismissal and reporting to the licensing board
  4. DAt-risk behavior, managed by coaching and fixing the system pressures behind it
3.BasisverpleegkundeGemiddeld

  1. A10
  2. B12
  3. C3
  4. D15
4.BasisverpleegkundeMoeilijk

Aspirate from a newly placed nasogastric tube has a pH of 7. What should the nurse do?

  1. AFlush the tube with water and start the feed
  2. BPush air down the tube and listen over the stomach
  3. CStart the feed, as a pH of 7 confirms that the tube is in the stomach
  4. DNot use the tube and follow policy, which may mean a chest X-ray
5.MicrobiologieGemiddeld

  1. AEen "transformerend principe" uit dode bacteriën kon onschuldige bacteriën in virulente veranderen
  2. BRuwe pneumokokken zijn altijd virulenter dan gladde
  3. CVirussen dragen genen over tussen bacteriën
  4. DHitte doodt pneumokokken niet

3Oplossingen

1.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid

Antwoord: D · Sterile technique, with a sterile catheter and sterile glove

Waarom dit het antwoord is

In hospital, tracheal suctioning uses sterile technique to avoid introducing organisms into the lower airway. Clean technique may be taught for long-term home care, according to policy.

Antwoord

D · Sterile technique, with a sterile catheter and sterile glove
2.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid

Antwoord: D · At-risk behavior, managed by coaching and fixing the system pressures behind it

Waarom dit het antwoord is

At-risk behavior is a choice whose risk is not recognized or is believed to be justified, often because shortcuts have become normal. It is managed by coaching and removing the pressures behind it, while reckless behavior may need disciplinary action.

Antwoord

D · At-risk behavior, managed by coaching and fixing the system pressures behind it
3.Basisverpleegkunde

Antwoord: D · 15

Antwoord

D · 15
4.Basisverpleegkunde

Antwoord: D · Not use the tube and follow policy, which may mean a chest X-ray

Waarom dit het antwoord is

A low pH supports gastric placement (1–5,5 in UK guidance; 5 or below is typical in US guidance). A pH of 7 does not rule out the lungs, so nothing is put down the tube until position is confirmed, usually by X-ray. The "whoosh" air test is unreliable.

Antwoord

D · Not use the tube and follow policy, which may mean a chest X-ray
5.Microbiologie

Antwoord: B · Neutrofielen

Antwoord

B · Neutrofielen
6.Microbiologie

Antwoord: A · Een "transformerend principe" uit dode bacteriën kon onschuldige bacteriën in virulente veranderen

Antwoord

A · Een "transformerend principe" uit dode bacteriën kon onschuldige bacteriën in virulente veranderen
