Розуміння прочитаного (вступні іспити)

Метод

  1. Спершу прочитайте питання, щоб знати, що шукаєте.
  2. Перегляньте текст, щоб знайти тему й головну думку; їх часто формулює перше або останнє речення.
  3. Поверніться до точних рядків, що відповідають на питання.
  4. Для висновків обирайте варіант, який найсильніше підтверджують підказки, а не той, що йде далі.
  5. Для етикеток і таблиць застосовуйте кожне правило, яке підходить до випадку, і уважно робіть невеликі обчислення.

Граматика та вживання англійської мови (вступні іспити)

Метод

  1. Знайдіть підмет і присудок речення, перш ніж обирати форму.
  2. Відкиньте зайві звороти (of the …, along with …) і додаткових осіб (you and …), щоб перевірити узгодження та відмінок займенника.
  3. Перевірте кожне речення: чи може воно стояти окремо? З’єднуйте незалежні речення комою із сполучником або крапкою з комою.
  4. Перевірте означення та переліки: описовий зворот поруч зі своїм словом, елементи в одній формі.
  5. Для вибору слова й стилю обирайте точний, офіційний і лаконічний варіант.

Лексика сфери охорони здоров’я (вступні іспити)

Метод

  1. Прочитайте все речення й пошукайте підказку в контексті: визначення, протиставлення, приклад або причину й наслідок.
  2. Розбийте незнайоме слово на префікс, корінь і суфікс і перекладіть кожну частину.
  3. Читайте медичний термін від суфікса до початку (hepat-itis: запалення печінки).
  4. Підставте кожен варіант у речення й перевірте, чи значення ще пасує.
  5. Оберіть значення, вжите в цьому реченні, навіть якщо в слова є інше повсякденне значення.
