1Formule e metodi

Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Metodo

  2. Aggiungi precauzioni in base alla via: contatto (camice, guanti), goccioline (mascherina chirurgica), via aerea (N95, stanza a pressione negativa).
  4. Previeni i danni nell’ambiente: misure anticaduta, contenzione solo come ultima risorsa, RACE e PASS per l’incendio.

2Esercizi

1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteMedia

A nurse finds a used needle in a patient’s bed linen. What should the nurse do?

  1. ALeave it where it is for the housekeeping staff to remove later in the day
  2. BRecap it with two hands before throwing it away
  3. CPick it up by the hub or with forceps, put it in a sharps container and report it
  4. DFold it into the linen and send it to the laundry
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile

Why can a patient with severe neutropenia have a serious infection but little redness, swelling or pus?

  1. AChemotherapy kills the bacteria before they can multiply
  2. BAntibiotics given with chemotherapy hide all signs of infection
  3. CNeutropenia makes infections stay limited to the skin
  4. DThere are too few neutrophils to produce the usual inflammatory signs
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia

When measuring a wound, how is the length usually taken?

  1. AAround the edge of the wound with a tape measure
  2. BIn whichever direction is shortest
  3. CFrom the wound to the nearest joint
  4. DIn the head-to-toe direction across the longest part
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile

Which patient should the nurse see first?

  1. AA postoperative patient with SpO₂ 89% on air and a respiratory rate of 28
  2. BA patient with a pain score of 3/10 whose analgesia is due in an hour
  3. CA patient who is waiting for their discharge letter and medicines
  4. DA patient who is asking for help to walk to the toilet now
5.MicrobiologiaMedia

Quale vaccino contiene virus vivi attenuati (indeboliti)?

  1. AIl vaccino antinfluenzale inattivato iniettabile
  2. BIl vaccino antitetanico
  3. CIl vaccino contro l'epatite B
  4. DMPR (morbillo, parotite, rosolia)
6.MicrobiologiaDifficile

3Soluzioni

1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: C · Pick it up by the hub or with forceps, put it in a sharps container and report it

Perché è questa la risposta

A loose needle is a hazard to everyone who handles the linen. The nurse disposes of it safely without recapping, using an instrument if needed, and reports the incident so the cause can be addressed.

Risposta

C · Pick it up by the hub or with forceps, put it in a sharps container and report it
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: D · There are too few neutrophils to produce the usual inflammatory signs

Perché è questa la risposta

Classic signs of infection come from the inflammatory response, which depends on white blood cells. With very few neutrophils, fever may be the only early sign, so it must be taken seriously.

Risposta

D · There are too few neutrophils to produce the usual inflammatory signs
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: D · In the head-to-toe direction across the longest part

Perché è questa la risposta

Using the body's head-to-toe axis for length and side-to-side for width keeps measurements consistent between nurses, so changes in size are meaningful.

Risposta

D · In the head-to-toe direction across the longest part
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: A · A postoperative patient with SpO₂ 89% on air and a respiratory rate of 28

Perché è questa la risposta

Low saturation with a high respiratory rate shows a breathing problem that could worsen quickly. The other needs are real but not urgent.

Risposta

A · A postoperative patient with SpO₂ 89% on air and a respiratory rate of 28
5.Microbiologia

Risposta: D · MPR (morbillo, parotite, rosolia)

Risposta

D · MPR (morbillo, parotite, rosolia)
6.Microbiologia
