1Formule e metodi

Which technique is correct when collecting a wound culture?
AClean the wound with sterile saline first, then swab clean tissue
BSwab the old pus on the dressing that was just removed from the wound
CCollect the sample only after antibiotics have been started
DUse one swab to sample two different wounds
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile
A nurse teaches a patient with active pulmonary tuberculosis who is going home on treatment. Which statement shows a need for further teaching?
A“I will cover my mouth with a tissue when I cough.”
B“I will need to take my medicines for several months.”
C“I can stop taking the pills once I feel better.”
D“I will come back for sputum tests as planned.”
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia
Why should the same pain scale be used each time a patient's pain is assessed?
ABecause only one scale is valid for adults
BSo the patient learns the right answer to give
CBecause using different pain scales on one patient is against the law
DSo scores can be compared to see whether pain is improving
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile
While counting an apical pulse, the nurse finds the rhythm is irregularly irregular and the radial rate is lower than the apical rate. Which rhythm is most likely?
AAtrial fibrillation
BNormal sinus rhythm
CSinus bradycardia
DSinus tachycardia
5.MicrobiologiaMedia
CLe cellule natural killer
DI neutrofili
6.MicrobiologiaDifficile
AStreptococcus pneumoniae
BClostridium perfringens
CNeisseria gonorrhoeae
DBordetella pertussis
3Soluzioni
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: A · Clean the wound with sterile saline first, then swab clean tissue
Perché è questa la risposta
Old exudate contains surface bacteria that may not be causing the infection. The wound is cleaned with sterile saline and then swabbed over clean, viable tissue, ideally before antibiotics start.
Risposta
A · Clean the wound with sterile saline first, then swab clean tissue
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: C · “I can stop taking the pills once I feel better.”
Perché è questa la risposta
TB treatment lasts several months, and stopping when symptoms improve can lead to relapse and drug-resistant TB. Covering coughs and attending follow-up for sputum tests are correct.
Risposta
C · “I can stop taking the pills once I feel better.”
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: D · So scores can be compared to see whether pain is improving
Perché è questa la risposta
Using one tool consistently lets the team see trends and judge whether treatment works. The tool chosen should suit the patient's age and ability to communicate.
Risposta
D · So scores can be compared to see whether pain is improving
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: A · Atrial fibrillation
Perché è questa la risposta
Atrial fibrillation gives an irregularly irregular pulse, and some beats are too weak to be felt at the wrist, causing a pulse deficit. It should be reported and confirmed with an ECG.
Risposta
A · Atrial fibrillation
5.Microbiologia
Risposta: B · Le plasmacellule derivate dai linfociti B
Risposta
B · Le plasmacellule derivate dai linfociti B
6.Microbiologia
Risposta: B · Clostridium perfringens
Servono chirurgia e antibiotici urgenti.
