1Formule e metodi

Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Metodo

  2. Aggiungi precauzioni in base alla via: contatto (camice, guanti), goccioline (mascherina chirurgica), via aerea (N95, stanza a pressione negativa).
  4. Previeni i danni nell’ambiente: misure anticaduta, contenzione solo come ultima risorsa, RACE e PASS per l’incendio.

  3. CLasciare entrare i visitatori senza alcuna protezione
  4. DSpegnere la ventilazione della stanza di notte
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile

An IV bag from the pharmacy holds the correct drug, but the label shows another patient’s name. What should the nurse do?

  1. ACross out the name and write in the correct patient’s name
  2. BAsk the patient whether it is fine to use the bag
  3. CNot hang it, and get a correctly labeled bag from the pharmacy
  4. DHang it, because the drug and dose are correct
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia

Which adverse effect is a particular risk with NSAIDs such as ibuprofen?

  1. ABreathing slowing down
  2. BLow blood sugar
  3. CSevere constipation that lasts for weeks
  4. DStomach irritation and bleeding
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile

A patient has a generalised tonic-clonic seizure in bed. What should the nurse do?

  1. AGive a drink of water as soon as the jerking starts
  2. BProtect the head, move objects away, time it and do not restrain
  3. CHold the arms and legs firmly so that the jerking movements stop more quickly
  4. DPut a spoon between the teeth to stop tongue biting
5.MicrobiologiaMedia

  1. AI vaccini ad anatossina
  2. BI vaccini a subunità
  3. CI vaccini inattivati a virus intero
  4. DI vaccini vivi attenuati

3Soluzioni

Risposta: C · Not hang it, and get a correctly labeled bag from the pharmacy

Perché è questa la risposta

A label with another patient’s name means the bag may be meant for someone else or may differ in other ways. The nurse does not use it, returns it and reports the issue so the error can be investigated.

Risposta

C · Not hang it, and get a correctly labeled bag from the pharmacy
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: D · Stomach irritation and bleeding

Perché è questa la risposta

NSAIDs can irritate the stomach lining and cause ulcers and bleeding. They are taken with food, avoided in some patients and may also affect the kidneys.

Risposta

D · Stomach irritation and bleeding
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: B · Protect the head, move objects away, time it and do not restrain

Perché è questa la risposta

During a seizure the nurse keeps the patient safe, notes the time and the features, and never puts anything in the mouth. Afterwards the patient is placed in the recovery position and the airway checked.

Risposta

B · Protect the head, move objects away, time it and do not restrain
5.Microbiologia

Risposta

C · Immunità passiva naturale
6.Microbiologia

Risposta: D · I vaccini vivi attenuati

Risposta

D · I vaccini vivi attenuati
