1Formule e metodi

Why should a child’s weight be recorded only in kilograms?
AMixing up pounds and kilograms can lead to large dosing errors
BKilograms are easier for parents to remember
CChildren weigh less, so smaller units are needed
DScales that show kilograms are always more accurate than those that show pounds
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile
A handwritten order is hard to read, and the nurse is not sure of the drug name. What should the nurse do?
AHold the drug until the next day without telling anyone
BContact the prescriber to clarify before giving anything
CChoose the drug that seems most likely from the diagnosis
DAsk a colleague to guess what it says
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia
A patient with expressive aphasia after a stroke understands speech but struggles to find words. Which approach helps most?
AFinish their sentences quickly for them to save them frustration
BTalk to the family instead of the patient
CAsk simple yes/no questions and allow plenty of time
DSpeak louder and more slowly than usual
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile
Which statement by a visitor shows a need for further teaching about contact precautions?
A"I'll take off the gown and gloves before I leave the room."
B"I'll put on the gown and gloves before I go in."
C"I'll clean my hands as I leave the room."
D"I'll take the gown off at home after I leave the hospital."
5.MicrobiologiaMedia
BIl DNA virale viene copiato direttamente dall'RNA polimerasi dell'ospite
CL'RNA virale viene tradotto in DNA dai ribosomi
DLa DNA polimerasi dell'ospite copia l'RNA senza aiuto
3Soluzioni
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: A · Mixing up pounds and kilograms can lead to large dosing errors
Perché è questa la risposta
Pediatric doses are often calculated per kilogram. A weight recorded in pounds but read as kilograms gives a dose more than twice as high, so weight is recorded and used only in kilograms.
Risposta
A · Mixing up pounds and kilograms can lead to large dosing errors
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: B · Contact the prescriber to clarify before giving anything
Perché è questa la risposta
Illegible or unclear orders are clarified directly with the prescriber. The nurse never guesses, and a held dose is reported so treatment is not missed.
Risposta
B · Contact the prescriber to clarify before giving anything
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: C · Ask simple yes/no questions and allow plenty of time
Perché è questa la risposta
Short questions that can be answered with yes, no or a gesture, picture boards and patience let the patient communicate. Hearing is not the problem, so shouting does not help.
Risposta
C · Ask simple yes/no questions and allow plenty of time
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: D · "I'll take the gown off at home after I leave the hospital."
Perché è questa la risposta
PPE is removed in or at the door of the patient's room and disposed of there, followed by hand hygiene. Wearing it out of the room spreads the organism.
Risposta
D · "I'll take the gown off at home after I leave the hospital."
5.Microbiologia
Risposta
A · La trascrittasi inversa produce DNA dall'RNA virale e l'integrasi lo inserisce
