1Formule e metodi

Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Metodo

  2. Aggiungi precauzioni in base alla via: contatto (camice, guanti), goccioline (mascherina chirurgica), via aerea (N95, stanza a pressione negativa).
  4. Previeni i danni nell’ambiente: misure anticaduta, contenzione solo come ultima risorsa, RACE e PASS per l’incendio.

2Esercizi

1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteMedia

Before a defibrillator shock is delivered, what must the person operating it do?

  1. AAsk a colleague to hold the paddles in place
  2. BCall “all clear” and check that nobody is touching the patient or bed
  3. CHold the patient’s hand to keep them still
  4. DKeep the oxygen mask on the patient’s face, held against the chest
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile

A patient dies after a wrong-drug error, and the hospital carries out a root cause analysis. What is its main focus?

  1. AIdentifying which staff member made the error and should be disciplined
  2. BDeciding whether to tell the family about the error
  3. CEstimating the legal costs for the hospital
  4. DFinding the system and process weaknesses that allowed the error
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia

What is the purpose of the Z-track technique for intramuscular injections?

  1. AIt numbs the skin before the needle goes in
  2. BIt makes the injection go into the fatty tissue instead of the muscle
  3. CIt lets the nurse give a larger volume into a small muscle
  4. DIt seals the drug in the muscle and stops it leaking into the tissue above
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile

A patient describes burning, shooting pain with pins and needles in both feet. Which type of pain is most likely?

  1. ANeuropathic pain
  2. BVisceral pain
  3. CAcute somatic pain
  4. DReferred pain
5.MicrobiologiaMedia

6.MicrobiologiaDifficile

Un'emocoltura positiva mostra cocchi Gram-positivi a grappolo. Quale organismo è più probabile?

  1. ANeisseria
  2. BEnterococcus in brevi catenelle
  3. CStreptococcus
  4. DStaphylococcus

3Soluzioni

1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: B · Call “all clear” and check that nobody is touching the patient or bed

Perché è questa la risposta

Anyone touching the patient or bed could receive the shock. The operator announces “clear” and looks to confirm that nobody is in contact, and oxygen is moved away from the chest.

Risposta

B · Call “all clear” and check that nobody is touching the patient or bed
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: D · Finding the system and process weaknesses that allowed the error

Perché è questa la risposta

A root cause analysis looks beyond the individual to the system factors, such as storage, labeling, staffing or workflow, that allowed the error. The aim is to change the system so the error cannot happen again.

Risposta

D · Finding the system and process weaknesses that allowed the error
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: D · It seals the drug in the muscle and stops it leaking into the tissue above

Perché è questa la risposta

Pulling the skin sideways before injecting and releasing it afterwards makes a zigzag track that closes over the needle path, preventing leakage and skin staining.

Risposta

D · It seals the drug in the muscle and stops it leaking into the tissue above
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: A · Neuropathic pain

Perché è questa la risposta

Neuropathic pain comes from damage to nerves, for example in diabetes, and is often burning, shooting or tingling. It may respond poorly to standard analgesics and need specific drugs.

Risposta

A · Neuropathic pain
5.Microbiologia

Risposta

D · Staphylococcus
