1Formule e metodi
AIl campo è considerato contaminato e va riallestito
CBasta sostituire solo i materiali più vicini all'infermiere
A patient sitting in a chair starts to have a generalized seizure. What should the nurse do?
ALeave to get the provider, then return
BPut a padded tongue blade between the teeth to protect the tongue and airway
CHold the patient firmly in the chair until the seizure stops
DEase the patient to the floor, protect the head and turn them on their side
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia
Using Maslow's hierarchy, which patient need should the nurse address first?
AA patient who feels lonely because no visitors have come
BA patient who is short of breath after walking to the toilet
CA patient who wants advice on returning to work
DA patient who is worried about how the wound will look
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile
A patient with severe anaemia has an SpO₂ of 98%. Why can this reading be misleading?
AThe red cells present are saturated, but the blood carries little oxygen
BAnaemia makes the oximeter read about 10% higher than the true saturation
CAnaemia damages the light sensor of the oximeter
DPatients with anaemia always have a low true saturation
5.MicrobiologiaMedia
3Soluzioni
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: A · Il campo è considerato contaminato e va riallestito
Risposta
A · Il campo è considerato contaminato e va riallestito
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: D · Ease the patient to the floor, protect the head and turn them on their side
Perché è questa la risposta
The nurse guides the patient gently to the floor, cushions the head, moves objects away and turns the patient on their side to protect the airway. The nurse stays, times the seizure and calls for help.
Risposta
D · Ease the patient to the floor, protect the head and turn them on their side
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: B · A patient who is short of breath after walking to the toilet
Perché è questa la risposta
Physiological needs such as breathing come first. Psychological and social needs matter too but are addressed after basic survival needs are met.
Risposta
B · A patient who is short of breath after walking to the toilet
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: A · The red cells present are saturated, but the blood carries little oxygen
Perché è questa la risposta
SpO₂ shows the percentage of haemoglobin that carries oxygen, not how much haemoglobin there is. With very little haemoglobin the oxygen content of the blood can be low despite a normal saturation.
Risposta
A · The red cells present are saturated, but the blood carries little oxygen
5.Microbiologia
