1Formule e metodi

Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Metodo

  2. Aggiungi precauzioni in base alla via: contatto (camice, guanti), goccioline (mascherina chirurgica), via aerea (N95, stanza a pressione negativa).
  4. Previeni i danni nell’ambiente: misure anticaduta, contenzione solo come ultima risorsa, RACE e PASS per l’incendio.

How should the urethral meatus be cared for in a patient with an indwelling urinary catheter?

  1. AWith daily bladder irrigation using an antibiotic solution through the catheter
  2. BWith routine hygiene, using soap and water during daily washing
  3. CWith antiseptic cream applied to the meatus every shift
  4. DBy sliding the catheter in and out a little to clean it
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile

A patient who speaks little English is being discharged with new medications. The patient’s 12-year-old child offers to interpret. What should the nurse do?

  1. AGive written instructions in English only
  2. BLet the child interpret, because the family prefers it
  3. CUse simple English and many hand gestures
  4. DUse a professional medical interpreter

Before discharge, what is most important to confirm about the patient's new medicines?

  1. AThat they know how and when to take them and what to report
  2. BThat they know the price of each medicine and where to buy it
  3. CThat they know the chemical name of each drug
  4. DThat they know which company makes each drug
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile

A nurse uses SBAR to call a doctor about a breathless patient. Which item belongs under "Background"?

  1. AHis respiratory rate is 30 and his SpO₂ is 86% on 2 L of oxygen
  2. BThe patient has COPD and was admitted two days ago with pneumonia
  3. C"I am calling about Mr Smith in bed 4, who is very breathless."
  4. D"Please come and review him within the next 10 minutes."
5.MicrobiologiaMedia

  1. AIl virus distrugge i linfociti T CD4 nella cervice

3Soluzioni

1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: B · With routine hygiene, using soap and water during daily washing

Perché è questa la risposta

Routine perineal hygiene with soap and water is recommended. Antiseptic creams and routine irrigation do not reduce infection, and moving the catheter in and out carries organisms into the bladder.

Risposta

B · With routine hygiene, using soap and water during daily washing
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: D · Use a professional medical interpreter

Perché è questa la risposta

Professional medical interpreters reduce errors and protect privacy. Children and other family members may translate wrongly, leave things out or be placed in a difficult position.

Risposta

D · Use a professional medical interpreter
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: A · That they know how and when to take them and what to report

Perché è questa la risposta

Safe discharge needs the patient or carer to understand dose, timing, purpose and important side effects. Teach-back and written information help confirm this.

Risposta

A · That they know how and when to take them and what to report
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: B · The patient has COPD and was admitted two days ago with pneumonia

Perché è questa la risposta

SBAR is Situation (why you are calling), Background (relevant history), Assessment (your findings) and Recommendation (what you need). Clear structure speeds up the response.

Risposta

B · The patient has COPD and was admitted two days ago with pneumonia
5.Microbiologia

Risposta: C · Le plasmacellule derivate dai linfociti B

Risposta

C · Le plasmacellule derivate dai linfociti B
6.Microbiologia
