1Formule e metodi

Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Metodo

  2. Aggiungi precauzioni in base alla via: contatto (camice, guanti), goccioline (mascherina chirurgica), via aerea (N95, stanza a pressione negativa).
  4. Previeni i danni nell’ambiente: misure anticaduta, contenzione solo come ultima risorsa, RACE e PASS per l’incendio.

2Esercizi

1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteMedia

A patient with a fever and a cough arrives in a crowded clinic waiting room. What should the nurse do?

  1. ADo nothing until the patient is seen by the provider
  2. BGive everyone else in the waiting room a mask instead
  3. CAsk the patient to wait outside in the car park
  4. DGive the patient a mask and seat them apart from others
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile

A patient punches a nurse during care. The nurse is not seriously hurt. What should the nurse do?

  1. APunch the patient back in self-defense
  2. BSay nothing, because violence is part of the job
  3. CRefuse to care for any patient for the rest of the week until the patient is moved
  4. DGet medical assessment and report the assault according to policy
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia

Which patient is at greatest risk of injury from a heat pack?

  1. AA patient with period pain
  2. BA patient with reduced sensation from diabetic neuropathy
  3. CA patient with a sore lower back after gardening
  4. DA young adult with a stiff neck after sleeping in an awkward position
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile

Why is heat usually avoided on a fresh soft-tissue injury during the first day?

  1. AIt numbs the area so the patient cannot feel pain
  2. BIt makes the muscles weaker for several weeks
  3. CIt narrows blood vessels and reduces blood flow to the injury
  4. DIt widens blood vessels and can increase swelling and bleeding
5.MicrobiologiaMedia

  4. DL'organismo è un cocco Gram-positivo

3Soluzioni

1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: D · Give the patient a mask and seat them apart from others

Perché è questa la risposta

Offering a mask to people with respiratory symptoms and separating them from others reduces the spread of droplets. Tissues, hand hygiene products and waste bins are also provided.

Risposta

D · Give the patient a mask and seat them apart from others
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente

Risposta: D · Get medical assessment and report the assault according to policy

Perché è questa la risposta

Workplace violence should always be reported. Reporting allows care for the injured staff member, review of risks and changes to the patient’s care plan to protect staff and other patients.

Risposta

D · Get medical assessment and report the assault according to policy
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: B · A patient with reduced sensation from diabetic neuropathy

Perché è questa la risposta

Patients who cannot feel heat properly, such as those with neuropathy, spinal injury or reduced consciousness, can be burned without noticing. Their skin needs extra checks or heat should be avoided.

Risposta

B · A patient with reduced sensation from diabetic neuropathy
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica

Risposta: D · It widens blood vessels and can increase swelling and bleeding

Perché è questa la risposta

Heat causes vasodilation, which can worsen swelling and bleeding in an acute injury. Cold is used first; heat may help later with stiffness.

Risposta

D · It widens blood vessels and can increase swelling and bleeding
5.Microbiologia

Risposta

A · La loro membrana esterna blocca molti farmaci
6.Microbiologia

Risposta
