1Formule e metodi
2Esercizi
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteMedia
A patient has patient-controlled analgesia (PCA). A family member presses the button while the patient sleeps. What should the nurse explain?
APressing it while the patient sleeps prevents the pain from getting worse later
BThe pump will always stop any overdose
CFamily can press it as long as they count the presses
DOnly the patient should press it, because this keeps the system safe
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del pazienteDifficile
A flexible bronchoscope contacts mucous membranes but does not enter sterile tissue. Which level of processing is required at a minimum between patients?
AWiping with an alcohol wipe
BCleaning with soap and water only
CLow-level disinfection
DHigh-level disinfection
3.Fondamenti di infermieristicaMedia
If hair needs to be removed before surgery, what is recommended?
AElectric clippers on the day of surgery
BShaving with a razor the night before
CPlucking the hairs with tweezers
DHair removal cream applied in theatre
4.Fondamenti di infermieristicaDifficile
What is the best way to check that a patient has learned to use an inhaler correctly?
AAsk the patient to show how they use it
BAsk whether they have read the leaflet
CAsk whether they have any questions
DAsk them to repeat the drug's name
5.MicrobiologiaMedia
BL'epatite A
CL'infezione da Helicobacter pylori
DL'infezione da Clostridioides difficile
6.MicrobiologiaDifficile
Perché così in fretta?
3Soluzioni
1.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: D · Only the patient should press it, because this keeps the system safe
Perché è questa la risposta
PCA is safe because a patient who becomes drowsy stops pressing the button. When others press it (“PCA by proxy”), sedation and respiratory depression can occur.
Risposta
D · Only the patient should press it, because this keeps the system safe
2.Controllo delle infezioni e sicurezza del paziente
Risposta: D · High-level disinfection
Perché è questa la risposta
Items that touch mucous membranes or non-intact skin are semi-critical and need at least high-level disinfection after thorough cleaning. Inadequate reprocessing of endoscopes has caused outbreaks.
Risposta
D · High-level disinfection
3.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: A · Electric clippers on the day of surgery
Perché è questa la risposta
Razors cause small skin cuts that increase surgical site infection. If needed, hair is removed with electric clippers close to the time of surgery.
Risposta
A · Electric clippers on the day of surgery
4.Fondamenti di infermieristica
Risposta: A · Ask the patient to show how they use it
Perché è questa la risposta
A return demonstration shows whether a psychomotor skill has been learned and lets the nurse correct mistakes. Saying "yes, I understand" does not prove the technique is right.
Risposta
A · Ask the patient to show how they use it
5.Microbiologia
S. aureus produce enterotossine negli alimenti lasciati a temperature tiepide.
