1Formule e metodi

BLamotrigine will lower the valproate level until it has no effect
CThe two drugs together cause severe hair growth
DValproate raises lamotrigine levels, which increases the risk of a serious rash

AWithhold the dose and notify the prescriber
BGive the dose and recheck the pulse in one hour
CGive the dose with food to slow absorption
DGive half the dose and document the pulse
6.FarmacologiaDifficile
A man on long-term testosterone therapy has a rising haematocrit. Why is this important?
AA high haematocrit shows that the testosterone is not being absorbed
BIt means the testosterone dose is too low
CTestosterone raises red cell production, increasing clot risk

3Soluzioni
1.Infermieristica di salute mentale
Risposta: D · Valproate raises lamotrigine levels, which increases the risk of a serious rash
Perché è questa la risposta
Valproate inhibits the metabolism of lamotrigine, roughly doubling its levels. Because lamotrigine rash, including Stevens-Johnson syndrome, is linked to rapid dose increases, a slower titration is used.
Risposta
D · Valproate raises lamotrigine levels, which increases the risk of a serious rash
2.Infermieristica di salute mentale
Risposta: D · Adjustment disorder with depressed mood
Perché è questa la risposta
Adjustment disorder is a distressing reaction to a stressor that starts within 3 months and does not meet the criteria for another disorder, such as major depression. It usually resolves within 6 months after the stressor or its consequences end.
Risposta
D · Adjustment disorder with depressed mood
3.Psicologia clinica
Risposta: C · La terapia cognitivo-comportamentale per l'insonnia (CBT-I)
Risposta
C · La terapia cognitivo-comportamentale per l'insonnia (CBT-I)
4.Psicologia clinica
Risposta
C · La frase agisce come comportamento protettivo che impedisce un pieno apprendimento dall'esposizione
5.Farmacologia
Risposta: A · Withhold the dose and notify the prescriber
Perché è questa la risposta
Digoxin is usually withheld in adults if the apical pulse is below 60 per minute, and the prescriber is informed. Bradycardia may be an early sign of toxicity.
Risposta
A · Withhold the dose and notify the prescriber
6.Farmacologia
Risposta: C · Testosterone raises red cell production, increasing clot risk
Perché è questa la risposta
Testosterone increases erythropoiesis and can cause polycythaemia, which increases blood viscosity and thrombosis risk. Haematocrit is monitored, and the dose may be reduced or paused.
Risposta
C · Testosterone raises red cell production, increasing clot risk
