1Formule e metodi

Infermieristica di salute mentale

Metodo

What must a patient be told for consent to a new psychotropic medicine to be valid?

  1. ANothing at all, because psychiatric patients cannot give consent
  2. BOnly the name of the medicine and the time of day it will be given
  3. COnly the benefits, so that the patient is not frightened by the side effects
  4. DThe expected benefits, the main risks and the alternatives, including no treatment
2.Infermieristica di salute mentaleDifficile

Six weeks after losing his job, a man feels low and worried and is sleeping a little less, but he still enjoys time with his children and does not meet the criteria for major depression. Which diagnosis fits best?

  1. ABipolar II disorder
  2. BMajor depressive disorder
  3. CPersistent depressive disorder
  4. DAdjustment disorder with depressed mood
3.Psicologia clinicaMedia

  4. DLa schizofrenia è causata interamente dai geni
5.FarmacologiaMedia

3Soluzioni

1.Infermieristica di salute mentale

Risposta: D · The expected benefits, the main risks and the alternatives, including no treatment

Perché è questa la risposta

Valid consent requires that the patient has capacity, has enough information about benefits, risks and alternatives, and decides voluntarily. A mental illness does not automatically remove capacity.

Risposta

D · The expected benefits, the main risks and the alternatives, including no treatment
2.Infermieristica di salute mentale

Risposta: D · Adjustment disorder with depressed mood

Perché è questa la risposta

Adjustment disorder is a distressing reaction to a stressor that starts within 3 months and does not meet the criteria for another disorder, such as major depression. It usually resolves within 6 months after the stressor or its consequences end.

Risposta

D · Adjustment disorder with depressed mood
3.Psicologia clinica

5.Farmacologia

Risposta: B · Use a soft toothbrush and rinse with saline or a bland mouthwash

Perché è questa la risposta

Chemotherapy damages rapidly dividing mucosal cells. Gentle oral care, saline rinses and avoiding alcohol, spicy and acidic foods reduce pain and infection risk.

Risposta

B · Use a soft toothbrush and rinse with saline or a bland mouthwash
6.Farmacologia

Risposta: B · Serotonin syndrome from combined serotonergic effects

Perché è questa la risposta

St John's wort has serotonergic effects, so it can cause serotonin syndrome with SSRIs. It also induces liver enzymes and can reduce levels of drugs such as the combined pill, warfarin and ciclosporin.

Risposta

B · Serotonin syndrome from combined serotonergic effects
