A clinic policy reads: “Patients more than 15 minutes late may be asked to rebook. Patients who call ahead to say they are running late will be seen if time allows.” A patient arrives 20 minutes late without calling. What is most likely to happen?
Which sentence formats the book title correctly?
Choose the correct verb: “If I ___ the answer, I would tell you.”
Choose the meaning of the word in bold: “The disease had an insidious onset.”
Choose the word that best completes the sentence: “The nurse was ___ when checking each dose and never missed a detail.”
答え: A · More people cycled on Main Street after the bike lanes were added.
The passage says the number of cyclists tripled after the lanes were added. It says nothing about all cities, helmets or zero cyclists before.
答え: B · The patient may be asked to book another time.
The patient is more than 15 minutes late and did not call ahead, so the first rule applies: they may be asked to rebook. No fine or cancellation is mentioned.
答え: A · She read To Kill a Mockingbird last summer.

答え: D · meticulous
