What does the term polycythaemia mean?
答え: A · To help prevent pressure ulcers
Pressure ulcers form when a person stays in one position too long, so changing position regularly helps prevent them.
答え: D · One argues for uniforms and the other against.
Passage 1 gives a benefit of uniforms (less bullying), while Passage 2 gives a drawback (less self-expression), so they take opposite sides.
答え: B · 12,500
American style uses commas to group digits by thousands (12,500) and a period as the decimal point (12.5).
答え: A · She likes her patients more than her coworkers do.
“More than her coworkers do” compares how much she and her coworkers like the patients. B compares the patients with the coworkers instead, and C and D change the meaning.
答え: C · Order
A sequence is the order in which things happen or are done.
答え: A · An abnormally high number of red blood cells
Polycythaemia (US: polycythemia) is an excess of red blood cells, which makes the blood thicker.
