Which word is closest in meaning to robust?
答え: D · Gentle
Speaking softly, holding his hand and explaining each step show a gentle, caring approach. Nothing suggests she was hurried or strict.
答え: B · Report the absence by phone.
Monday to Wednesday is three days, which is “three days or fewer”, so a phone report is enough. A note is needed only for more than three days.
答え: A · quick
An adjective describes a noun, so “quick decision” is correct. “Quickly” is an adverb and describes verbs.
答え: C · It’s clear that the clinic has updated its hours.
“It’s” means “it is” (It is clear). “Its” is the possessive form (the clinic’s hours).
答え: C · Make it clear
To clarify is to make something easier to understand by removing confusion.
答え: A · Strong
Robust means strong and healthy or able to withstand stress.
