Choose the meaning of the word in bold: “The nurse gave explicit instructions about wound care.”
Choose the meaning of the word in bold: “The patient reported hallucinations during the night.”
答え: A · To show the source of the information
The footnote names where the data came from, so its purpose is to give the source of the information.
答え: D · Patient effort can prove its worth over time.
Ana’s plan was mocked, but years later it saved the village. The theme is that long-term effort can prove valuable.
答え: A · 7:30 a.m.
In American style, a colon separates the hour from the minutes: 7:30 a.m. British style often uses a full stop instead (7.30 a.m.), so D would be accepted there.
答え: B · 2, 1, 3
Transition words show sequence. “First” begins the process, “Then” continues it and “Finally” ends it, giving 2, 1, 3.
答え: C · Clearly and fully stated
Explicit means stated clearly and in detail, leaving no room for confusion.
答え: C · Seeing or hearing things that are not there
