- 당뇨병 응급에서는 DKA(케톤, 산증)와 HHS(매우 높은 삼투압, 탈수)를 구별하고, 수액을 먼저 투여하세요.

C · Check that a swallow screen has been done before giving anything by mouth
After a stroke, the patient stays NPO (nothing by mouth) until a swallow screen shows it is safe. Giving fluids first risks aspiration, even with a straw or thickener.
C · Check that a swallow screen has been done before giving anything by mouth
A · Pulse oximetry cannot tell carbon monoxide-bound hemoglobin from oxygen-bound hemoglobin
Standard pulse oximeters read carboxyhemoglobin as oxyhemoglobin, so SpO2 can look normal in carbon monoxide poisoning. A blood carboxyhemoglobin level confirms it, and high-flow oxygen is given.
A · Pulse oximetry cannot tell carbon monoxide-bound hemoglobin from oxygen-bound hemoglobin
A · Magnesium
Loop diuretics block the Na-K-2Cl transporter in the loop of Henle, where much magnesium and calcium are also reabsorbed. They therefore commonly cause hypokalemia and hypomagnesemia, and they can raise uric acid and bicarbonate. Magnesium Blood Test · MedlinePlus (NIH) (2023)
B · Increasingly severe pancreatitis
Rising BUN (fluid loss and kidney injury), low calcium and hyperglycemia are markers of more severe pancreatitis in scoring systems. The nurse monitors fluid balance, vital signs and organ function closely and reports deterioration. Acute pancreatitis · MedlinePlus (NIH) (2025); BUN (Blood Urea Nitrogen) · MedlinePlus (NIH) (2024)
B · Increasingly severe pancreatitis
답: D · Gas used during the operation irritating the diaphragm
Carbon dioxide used to inflate the abdomen can irritate the diaphragm, causing referred shoulder-tip pain. It usually settles within a few days with mobilisation and analgesia.
D · Gas used during the operation irritating the diaphragm
답: A · Compensated respiratory acidosis
Chronic CO2 retention is offset by the kidneys retaining bicarbonate, bringing the pH back to normal. A normal pH with high PaCO2 and high bicarbonate is a compensated respiratory acidosis.
A · Compensated respiratory acidosis
C · "I will use a salt substitute instead of ordinary salt."
Many salt substitutes contain potassium chloride. With an ACE inhibitor and spironolactone, both of which raise potassium, they can cause dangerous hyperkalaemia. Daily weights, reporting rapid weight gain and avoiding NSAIDs (which cause fluid retention) are correct.
C · "I will use a salt substitute instead of ordinary salt."
D · Glucose tablets or a small glass of fruit juice
About 15–20 g of fast-acting carbohydrate, such as glucose tablets or juice, raises glucose quickly. Chocolate and milk contain fat, which slows absorption. Glucose is rechecked after about 15 minutes.
D · Glucose tablets or a small glass of fruit juice
A · Start a regular laxative at the same time
Opioids slow gut movement, and tolerance to constipation does not develop. A regular laxative, often a stimulant with a softener, is started with the opioid, alongside fluids and mobility where possible.
A · Start a regular laxative at the same time
B · A bulk-forming laxative used on its own
Bulk-forming laxatives need good fluid intake and mobility and can worsen constipation or cause obstruction without them. They do not counter the effect of opioids on gut movement, so stimulant or osmotic laxatives are preferred.
B · A bulk-forming laxative used on its own
