Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid

Methode

  2. BA patient recovering from a cold
  3. CA patient with a sprained wrist who is fully alert
  4. DA healthy young adult with a strained muscle

  1. ASecure the home medication per policy and inform the provider
  2. BStop giving the hospital hypnotic without telling the provider or the pharmacy

3Oplossingen

1.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid

Antwoord: A · A patient with diabetic peripheral neuropathy

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Reduced sensation, as in peripheral neuropathy, prevents a person from feeling heat damage. Patients with poor sensation, poor circulation or confusion need very close monitoring if heat is used at all.

Antwoord

A · A patient with diabetic peripheral neuropathy
2.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid

Antwoord: A · Secure the home medication per policy and inform the provider

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Unrecorded home medicines can lead to duplicate doses, interactions and falls. They are stored or sent home according to policy, and the provider is told so the treatment plan can be reviewed.

Antwoord

A · Secure the home medication per policy and inform the provider
3.Basisverpleegkunde

Antwoord: D · It only protects if it seals closely to the wearer's face

Waarom dit het antwoord is

A respirator filters tiny airborne particles only if air passes through the filter, not around a gap. Fit-testing and a fit-check every time it is worn make sure it seals.

Antwoord

D · It only protects if it seals closely to the wearer's face
4.Basisverpleegkunde

Antwoord: D · The patient wears a surgical mask during transport

Waarom dit het antwoord is

When an airborne-precaution patient must leave the room, they wear a surgical mask to contain respiratory secretions. Staff in close contact still wear respirators as per policy, and the receiving department is informed.

Antwoord

D · The patient wears a surgical mask during transport
5.Microbiologie

Antwoord: B · Pseudomonas aeruginosa

Antwoord

B · Pseudomonas aeruginosa
6.Microbiologie

Antwoord: C · Griepvirussen veranderen vaak hun oppervlakteantigenen

Antwoord

C · Griepvirussen veranderen vaak hun oppervlakteantigenen
