A portable x-ray is taken at the bedside. Which action protects the nurse?
AStep away from the patient or wear a lead apron during the exposure
BLook directly at the x-ray tube during the exposure to check its position
CStay close to the patient to keep them still without protection
DStand next to the patient and hold the film without protection
3.BasisverpleegkundeGemiddeld
A patient with expressive aphasia after a stroke understands speech but struggles to find words. Which approach helps most?
AAsk simple yes/no questions and allow plenty of time
BSpeak louder and more slowly than usual
CTalk to the family instead of the patient
DFinish their sentences quickly for them to save them frustration
4.BasisverpleegkundeMoeilijk
Why must a needlestick injury be reported straight away rather than at the end of the shift?
AThe source patient will be discharged soon
BPost-exposure prophylaxis works best when it is started as soon as possible
CThe injury must be documented within ten minutes for the report to be valid
DReporting late means the nurse has to pay for the tests
5.MicrobiologieGemiddeld
Welk type immuniteit geven antistoffen in moedermelk?
AKunstmatige actieve immuniteit
BNatuurlijke actieve immuniteit
CKunstmatige passieve immuniteit
DNatuurlijke passieve immuniteit
6.MicrobiologieMoeilijk
3Oplossingen
1.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid
Antwoord: A · Step away from the patient or wear a lead apron during the exposure
Waarom dit het antwoord is
Radiation exposure falls quickly with distance. Staff leave the immediate area or wear a lead apron, and anyone who must hold a patient wears protective clothing.
Antwoord
A · Step away from the patient or wear a lead apron during the exposure
3.Basisverpleegkunde
Antwoord: A · Ask simple yes/no questions and allow plenty of time
Waarom dit het antwoord is
Short questions that can be answered with yes, no or a gesture, picture boards and patience let the patient communicate. Hearing is not the problem, so shouting does not help.
Antwoord
A · Ask simple yes/no questions and allow plenty of time
4.Basisverpleegkunde
Antwoord: B · Post-exposure prophylaxis works best when it is started as soon as possible
Waarom dit het antwoord is
After a high-risk exposure, for example to HIV or hepatitis B, preventive treatment is most effective when started early. Prompt reporting also allows the source patient to be assessed.
Antwoord
B · Post-exposure prophylaxis works best when it is started as soon as possible
5.Microbiologie
Antwoord: D · Natuurlijke passieve immuniteit
