1Formules en methoden

Prioriteren en delegeren

Methode

3Oplossingen

1.Prioriteren en delegeren

Antwoord: D · Assess the airway and call for urgent help

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Angioedema is a rare but dangerous effect of ACE inhibitors. The airway comes first: the nurse assesses breathing, calls for urgent help and holds the drug.

Antwoord

D · Assess the airway and call for urgent help
2.Prioriteren en delegeren

Antwoord: A · “I will rub the area after the injection to help it absorb.”

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Rubbing the site after a low-molecular-weight heparin injection increases bruising. The abdomen away from the navel, rotating sites and reporting bleeding are correct.

Antwoord

A · “I will rub the area after the injection to help it absorb.”
3.Infectiepreventie en patiëntveiligheid

Antwoord: B · The body fluids can contain active drug for a time after treatment

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Many hazardous drugs are excreted in urine, stool and vomit for a period after treatment. Staff wear protective gloves and gowns when handling these fluids, according to policy.

Antwoord

B · The body fluids can contain active drug for a time after treatment

Een just culture ondersteunt zulke meldingen.

Antwoord

Antwoord: B · Serum sodium, which may fall too low

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Desmopressin acts like ADH, so the kidneys retain water. If the patient drinks too much, water retention can cause hyponatremia, which may lead to confusion and seizures. Sodium, weight and fluid balance are monitored.

Antwoord

B · Serum sodium, which may fall too low
6.Laboratoriumwaarden en elektrolyten

Antwoord: B · Acute leukemia

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Many circulating blasts with anemia and thrombocytopenia suggest acute leukemia: malignant cells crowd out normal production in the marrow. Despite the high white count, the patient has few working white cells and is at high risk of infection and bleeding.

Antwoord

B · Acute leukemia
7.Klinische verpleegkunde

Antwoord: B · A fit-tested respirator mask (such as FFP3 or N95)

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Aerosol-generating procedures, such as intubation, release small infectious particles. Respirators that are fit-tested protect the wearer, while surgical masks mainly protect against droplets.

Antwoord

B · A fit-tested respirator mask (such as FFP3 or N95)
8.Klinische verpleegkunde

Antwoord: A · Capillary blood glucose

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Hypoglycaemia can cause focal neurological signs that mimic stroke. A bedside glucose check is quick and should be done in any patient with sudden neurological symptoms.

Antwoord

A · Capillary blood glucose

Ejectiefractie = slagvolume ÷ eind-diastolisch volume, normaal ongeveer 50–70%.

Antwoord: A · Stopping even today lowers carbon monoxide levels before surgery

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Carboxyhaemoglobin falls substantially within about 12–24 hours of stopping, improving oxygen delivery. Longer abstinence improves airway function, wound healing and reduces complications further. Any stop is beneficial, and support should be offered.

Antwoord

A · Stopping even today lowers carbon monoxide levels before surgery
11.Medisch-chirurgisch: neurologie, endocrinologie en nieren

Antwoord: C · It is diluted and given through an infusion pump, never as a bolus

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Concentrated potassium given quickly can cause fatal arrhythmias. IV potassium is given in a diluted, ready-made solution through an infusion pump at a controlled rate, with monitoring of potassium and, at higher rates, the ECG.

Antwoord

C · It is diluted and given through an infusion pump, never as a bolus
12.Medisch-chirurgisch: neurologie, endocrinologie en nieren

Antwoord: A · Feochromocytoom

Antwoord

A · Feochromocytoom
13.Medisch-chirurgisch: maag-darmstelsel, perioperatief en oncologie

Antwoord: C · Leave the air bubble in and inject into a skin fold

Waarom dit het antwoord is

LMWH is injected into a pinched skin fold, often on the abdomen, away from the umbilicus. The air bubble in prefilled syringes is left in, and the site is not rubbed, to reduce bruising.

Antwoord

C · Leave the air bubble in and inject into a skin fold
14.Medisch-chirurgisch: maag-darmstelsel, perioperatief en oncologie

Antwoord: D · Inform the surgical and anaesthetic teams, who will check the INR

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Recent warfarin may leave the INR too high for safe surgery or a spinal anaesthetic. The team needs to know at once; they check the INR and decide whether to delay or reverse.

Antwoord

D · Inform the surgical and anaesthetic teams, who will check the INR
