1Formules en methoden

Prioriteren en delegeren

Methode

3Oplossingen

1.Prioriteren en delegeren

Antwoord: A · “I will use my steroid inhaler when I have a sudden attack.”

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Inhaled corticosteroids reduce inflammation over time and do not relieve an acute attack. Salbutamol (albuterol) is the quick-relief inhaler; rinsing after steroids helps prevent oral thrush.

Antwoord

A · “I will use my steroid inhaler when I have a sudden attack.”
2.Prioriteren en delegeren

Antwoord: B · Fat embolism syndrome

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Fat embolism syndrome usually appears 24–72 hours after a long bone fracture, with breathing problems, confusion and a petechial rash. It needs oxygen and urgent escalation.

Antwoord

B · Fat embolism syndrome

Antwoord: D · Pulse oximetry cannot tell carbon monoxide-bound hemoglobin from oxygen-bound hemoglobin

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Standard pulse oximeters read carboxyhemoglobin as oxyhemoglobin, so SpO2 can look normal in carbon monoxide poisoning. A blood carboxyhemoglobin level confirms it, and high-flow oxygen is given.

Antwoord

D · Pulse oximetry cannot tell carbon monoxide-bound hemoglobin from oxygen-bound hemoglobin
5.Laboratoriumwaarden en elektrolyten

Antwoord: A · Anti-HBs of 10 mIU/mL or more

Waarom dit het antwoord is

An anti-HBs level of at least 10 mIU/mL after vaccination indicates protection. HBsAg and IgM anti-HBc indicate infection, not immunity. Health care workers are often tested after vaccination.Gecontroleerd met: Hepatitis virus panel · MedlinePlus (NIH) (2024)

Antwoord

A · Anti-HBs of 10 mIU/mL or more

7.Klinische verpleegkunde

Antwoord: C · Venturi mask

Waarom dit het antwoord is

A Venturi mask entrains a set amount of room air, giving a fixed oxygen percentage regardless of the patient's breathing pattern. This makes it useful for patients at risk of hypercapnia.

Antwoord

C · Venturi mask
8.Klinische verpleegkunde

Antwoord: A · IV fluid rehydration, followed by a bisphosphonate

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Hypercalcaemia of malignancy causes dehydration, so IV fluids are given first, followed by a bisphosphonate to reduce bone resorption. Calcium, renal function and fluid balance are monitored.

Antwoord

A · IV fluid rehydration, followed by a bisphosphonate
9.Medisch-chirurgisch: cardiovasculair en respiratoir

Antwoord: C · An increased risk of pneumonia

Waarom dit het antwoord is

In COPD, inhaled corticosteroids increase the risk of pneumonia. They are used where there are frequent exacerbations or features of asthma, and their benefit is weighed against this risk. Signs of pneumonia should be reported promptly.

Antwoord

C · An increased risk of pneumonia
10.Medisch-chirurgisch: cardiovasculair en respiratoir

Antwoord: B · Early septic (distributive) shock

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Early septic shock often causes warm peripheries and bounding pulses because of widespread vasodilation. Cardiogenic, hypovolaemic and obstructive shock usually cause cool, clammy skin from vasoconstriction. Septic shock can later become "cold" as it progresses.

Antwoord

B · Early septic (distributive) shock

Antwoord: D · Central cord syndrome

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Central cord syndrome often follows hyperextension of an arthritic neck. The central fibres, which serve the arms, are affected most, so the arms are weaker than the legs. It is the most common incomplete cord syndrome.

Antwoord

D · Central cord syndrome
13.Medisch-chirurgisch: maag-darmstelsel, perioperatief en oncologie

Antwoord: B · Soon after an acute soft tissue injury, to reduce swelling

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Cold reduces swelling, bleeding and nerve conduction in acute injuries. It is wrapped and applied for short periods and avoided on areas with poor circulation or sensation. Heat is better for muscle spasm and stiffness.

Antwoord

B · Soon after an acute soft tissue injury, to reduce swelling
14.Medisch-chirurgisch: maag-darmstelsel, perioperatief en oncologie

Antwoord: D · Call for help, give 100% oxygen and use a jaw thrust

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Stridor after extubation suggests laryngospasm or another upper airway obstruction. The nurse calls for help, applies high-flow oxygen and airway manoeuvres, and the anaesthetist may give drugs or reintubate.

Antwoord

D · Call for help, give 100% oxygen and use a jaw thrust
