1Formules en methoden

Leesvaardigheid (toelatingsexamens)

Methode

  2. Haal zinsdelen (of the …, along with …) en extra personen (you and …) weg om de congruentie en de naamval van het voornaamwoord te toetsen.

3Oplossingen

1.Leesvaardigheid (toelatingsexamens)

Antwoord: D · To drive safely on the slippery road

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Icy roads are slippery, so driving slowly and leaving space helps avoid skidding and crashes.

Antwoord

D · To drive safely on the slippery road
2.Leesvaardigheid (toelatingsexamens)

Antwoord: B · Here, more sleep was mostly linked to higher scores.

Waarom dit het antwoord is

Scores mostly rise with sleep, but Dev slept most and scored slightly lower than Cara. So the link is general, not perfect, and four students cannot prove a rule.

Antwoord

B · Here, more sleep was mostly linked to higher scores.
3.Engelse grammatica en taalgebruik (toelatingsexamens)

Antwoord: D · 7:30 a.m.

Waarom dit het antwoord is

In American style, a colon separates the hour from the minutes: 7:30 a.m. British style often uses a full stop instead (7,30 a.m.), so D would be accepted there.

Antwoord

D · 7:30 a.m.
4.Engelse grammatica en taalgebruik (toelatingsexamens)

Antwoord: C · The nurse decided to assess the wound.

Waarom dit het antwoord is

“Made a decision” becomes “decided” and “conduct an assessment of” becomes “assess”. C fixes only one phrase, B is still wordy and D adds the passive voice.

Antwoord

C · The nurse decided to assess the wound.
5.Woordenschat voor de gezondheidszorg (toelatingsexamens)

Antwoord: A · Involuntary shaking

A tremor is an involuntary, rhythmic shaking of a body part.
